Congress Registration Information

ONLINE REGISTRATION - AVAILABLE UNTIL 12:00PM PDT JULY 16, 2010

Starting July 7, 2010 the online registration system will be closed to any profile changes. All persons wishing to pay a balance or make a change to their profile will need to send an email to the IPVS Congress Secretariat at ipvsreg@advance-group.com.

New online, faxed and emailed registrations will be accepted until 12:00 pm PDT Friday July 16, 2010. After that time all registrations will be processed onsite only at the IPVS Onsite Registration Desk on the 2nd level of the Vancouver Convention Center - West Building.

How to Register starting July 18, 2010

The online registration system is now closed. We will only be accepting registrations at the IPVS 2010 Onsite Registration Desk located on the 2nd level of the Vancouver Convention Center - West Building.

Please register using the IPVS 2010 Congress Registration Form (PDF). In order to speed up your registration time onsite, we encourage you to fill out your registration form prior to your arrival at the Registration Desk.

Payments
Full payment of registration fees is required to attend the IPVS 2010 Congress. Upon receipt of your registration form and payment, the Congress Secretariat will have sent an email confirmation to the email address provided. Please ensure that you keep this confirmation for your records. It is also recommended that you bring a copy with you to the Congress.

Payment Methods Onsite:

  • Visa, MasterCard or American Express are accepted credit cards
  • (the charge will be posted on your credit card statement as Advance Group)
  • Company Cheque (Payable to: IPVS 2010 c/o Advance Group)
  • Cash - Canadian Dollars


  • Please note we do not accept personal cheques onsite. If you have an outstanding balance onsite, you will be required to pay your balance by cash, company cheque or credit card to be allowed to participate in the Congress. If paying by credit card, be sure to confirm the transaction amount with your credit card provider before arriving onsite so that the transaction will not be denied.

    *Student ID Requirement
    To qualify as a Student applicants must present a valid student ID card or submit a letter from your institution as proof of full-time enrollment as an undergrad or post-graduate student (excluding post-doctoral fellows) in a veterinary college and/or agricultural institution. A photocopy of your student ID card or letter can be submitted via scan/email to: ipvsreg@advance-group.com or fax to: 1-604-685-3521 until 12:00 PDT July 16, 2010. After this time all Student applicants will need to show proper documentation at the Onsite Registration desk. Registration fees will be adjusted to the Delegate rates should an applicant be unable to provide the proper documentation.

    **Accompanying Person (s)
    An Accompanying Person is a Participant’s spouse, companion or child who does not have a business or scientific interest in the Congress. The Accompanying Person’s program includes access to the exhibit hall, daily lunches, AM & PM refreshment breaks and the Welcome Reception (July 18).

    Registration Fee Congress Entitlements
    The Full Congress pass and Student pass includes access into scientific sessions, exhibit hall, sponsor symposia, daily lunches, AM & PM refreshment breaks and the Welcome Reception (July 18). Also included are the IPVS 2010 Oral and Poster Congress Proceedings on a USB key, Congress bag and materials.

    Additional events for a fee include:  Farewell Banquet  ($125 per person).

    Accompanying Person(s) are entitled to have exhibit hall access, meals and attend the Welcome Reception (July 18).

    How to Register
    Participants can register online until July 16, 2010 or via the IPVS Congress Registration Form both available below. Before starting your registration, we encourage you to review and make your final selections of the activities in which you would like to participate/purchase from the following included in the Congress Registration:

    • Congress Social Events
    • Accompanying Persons Tours
    • Technical Tours (available until July 16, 2010)

    Cancellation & Refund Conditions
    Please note that all IPVS 2010 Congress Registration fees, Social Event fees, Accompanying Person Tour  fees, Technical Tour fees and Congress Merchandise fees are subject to the Cancellation & Refund Conditions below:

    • All cancellations and/or modifications must be submitted in writing to the IPVS Congress Secretariat by: Email: ipvsreg@advance-group.com, Fax: 1-604-685-3521 or Mail: IPVS 2010 Congress Secretariat – Advance Group.

    CHANGES/MODIFICATION/NAME SUBSTITUTION

    • Participants may make changes online at any time before July 6, 2010 by accessing their IPVS 2010 Registration Profile.
    • Any change requiring assistance from the IPVS Congress Secretariat are subject to a $50.00 CAD administrative fee.
    • An alternate attendee name may be substituted if you are unable to attend the Congress. Substitutions are subject to a $50 CAD administrative fee.

    CANCELLATION NOTIFICATION & REFUNDS

    • Notification by April 6, 2010 – A refund will be granted less a $150.00 CAD administration fee per registration. Notification from April 7, 2010 up to and including May 11, 2010 – A refund will be granted less a 50% cancellation penalty of the Congress fees and a $50.00 CAD administration fee per registration.
    • Notifications received starting May 12, 2010 are 100% non-refundable.
    • Approved refunds will be processed and issued no later than August 31, 2010. .

    RE-VERIFICATION OR PROCESSING OF A CREDIT CARD

    • Credit card payments that require reprocessing for any reason will incur a $75.00 CAD administrative fee.

    TECHNICAL TOUR ADVISEMENT

    • Please note:  In the event that required minimum participant numbers are not reached by May 12, 2010 for either The Tours of the Fraser Valley or the West Coast Fish Farm Tour, the IPVS 2010 Congress reserves the right to cancel the tour(s). Registered participants will be notified via e-mail after May 12, 2010 and be eligible to receive a 100% refund for Technical Tour fees paid.
